Geocache Description:

July 2nd is Cody's birthday and we recently found out that he shares his birthday with someone who had a very hard life.

He was the only child of a single mother. And adopted at 6 weeks. When his adoptive mother died, he was just 5 years old. He traveled from state to state while his father sought work. He got his first job at the age of 12 and when he was 15 his life changed again. He dropped out of school.

He told someone that it was "the greatest mistake he had ever made." He didn't return to school until 45 years later. Which he was named, "Most Likely to Succeed". A title he was very proud of.

This man would learn a lot from another man. And from that knowledge he was a millionaire at the age of 35. "Only in America," he said, "would a guy like me, from humble beginnings and without a high school diploma become successful. America gave me a chance to live the life I want and work to make my dreams come true. We should never take our freedoms for granted, and we should seize every opportunity presented to us."

This man went on to make those square silly looking hamburgers, named a store after his daughter and did over 800 commericals for his business. Another thing you might not know. It was this man who created the Pick-up/drive thru window.

I will never forget watching all those commericals, and hearing him say, "We don't make a sandwich until it's sold." And "Where's the beef?"

He continued to give by remembering his life and how it started. He started an organization for adopted children. Donating millions of dollars.

Sadly he passed away in 2002 but his business is still booming. After reading about this man and finding that he shared Cody's birthday (which he thought very cool) he asked if he could do this cache. Thanks for visiting Cody's Cache.
