Here you are in front of the bust of a composer and singer from the village of Anoghia on Mt Psiloritis. He was part of the movement that brought down the Greek military Junta of 1967. He was an eminent revolutionary, a prominent and illustrious statesman as well as a charismatic leader in the early 20th century. He was elected several times as Prime Minister of Greece. He had such profound influence on the internal and external affairs of Greece that he is credited with being "the maker of modern Greece". His impact on modern Greece has been such that he is still widely known as the "Ethnarch".
