Right along Rt. 27, north of Eustis.
I woke up this morning and thought, "Wouldn't it be nice if someone had put out a cache for me to find today". And a few people might have, had I dropped a broad hint. But when you can't go caching, what's the next best thing? Go to nice places and find cache hiding spots! On the way back from that excursion, I remembered I had a cache at Sarampus Falls and at Shadagee Falls but none at Ledge Falls.
This is a simple park and grab, parking space big enough for maybe three vehicles, no need to go down the path to the falls unless you want to. I wanted to and the first thing I found was a dead skunk. I decided that wouldn't be adding to the ambience of the place once the weather turned hot, so I took it with me. Husband grumbled a bit, but hey, it's MY birthday, I can have a dead skunk if I want to! Next I found the remains of a deer. Had to leave that but this is a well used and short trail to a popular fishing and swimming hole, so it won't be around too long. And you can see the falls and the rapids from the cache site.
Cache is a small Lock 'n Lock container with a few good items to start.
