The primary aim of this cache is to provide a bit of fun to
cachers who are waiting to take the cable car up the
mountain.
It will probably be made challenging by muggles and stealthy
methods may be needed!
As the cache
is hidden on the Lower Station it can only be found during the
operating time of the cableway.

The cableway is also closed in severe weather. To check if the
caleway is open right now,

below the graphic, top left.
Be sure to check the information board at the bottom of Tafelberg
Road to see if the cableway is open, as it could save you the drive
up.
It is not necessary to pay or to use the cableway to find the
cache.
The cableway was almost a railway, but the Boer war interfered
with that idea.
It was then nearly a funicular railway running up from Oranjezicht
through Platteklip Gorge, but World War I fortunately interfered
with that idea.
Happily we now have a wonderful way of getting to the top of Table
Mountain, rotating floor and all!
