This three part multi-cache takes you for a pleasant walk around the outside of the Millfields playing field. This is an easy walk, dog accessible, and the complete route shouldn’t take more than about 45 minutes. There is plenty of free parking. This is our first cache, so please let us know what you think!
The walk takes you through Hill Farm, which is part of the Cambridgeshire County Council’s Farms Estate. Ownership of this estate allows the Council to enhance the Cambridgeshire landscape, creating and improving wildlife habitats, and providing opportunities for informal public recreation.
The farm provides an opportunity to combine farming and conservation, with the creation of 10 acres of broadleaved woodland. Nearly 2km of permissive footpaths pass through the land. The land is popular for dog-walking, so please keep a look out for those Muggles!
Although this is a three part multi-cache, it is designed as an easy circular walk around the outside perimeter of Millfied’s playing field making it ideal for families with children who like to find several caches close to each other.
Tree cover in some places may interfere with your GPS, but you should be OK when near each cache location.
The first two caches are small, containing the locations of the following caches only. The final cache is a medium sized click-box, with room for small items.
