Geocache Description:

Flanked by mighty Maple Lake to the east and beautiful Bull Frog Lake to the west, how can Rainbarrel Slough ever get itself on the map?

Among the slew of recent slough cache hides, here's one that seems to have been overlooked, perhaps because there isn't one (overlook, that is). The sign at the entrance brings a slew of visitors to Bull Frog Lake, while this tiny little hidden slough goes largely unnoticed and passed by.

Rainbarrel Slough is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Palos Sloughs. It's about time some people come by and give it a little respect. You can do this by simply finding the ("ready to go" preform, courtesy of Corp of Discovery) camoed with green tape, and then signing the guest list. It should only take a minute of your time.

9/6/09 - The cache was missing and I replaced it in a nearby spot. It's still a preform tube, but I couldn't find my green tape last night, so it's wrapped in black electrical tape. Might be just a tad harder to get to, but at least now you'll enjoy a nice view of the slough.
