A walk along the edge of St Austell Bay.
This cache is hidden a little way below the main coast path & offers panoramic views over the sea, from The Gribben to Black Head. There was an earlier cache at this location ("Marvin`s Beach"GCT10Z by Birdman of Liskatraz- thanks Steve!) , this was retired last year.
Suggested parking is at Spit Beach car park, next to Par china clay works. Alternatively, there is now a car park at Carlyon Bay, just above the new seafront development. You are looking for a 1.5 litre box.
WARNINGS-
1) In several places the path passes within 2 metres of the cliff edge.
2) Wear long trousers - there are brambles & nettles near the hiding place. Bracken can get thick here in late summer, please use the clues provided.
3) If continuing down the path to the beach, please note - the next beach to the right (west) is sometimes used by naturists!
