Geocache Description:

Chapter 3 - Piggyback Hares

Watching the previous Hares get caught by the Hounds, the remaining Hares have a chance to see what has worked, and what has not. Clearly, the speed strategy failed. Hiding and waiting it out fared worse - that Hare was caught more quickly than the first.

As we saw in Aesop's story, the Hare ran so fast that it tired out before the finish line. That was only one Hare running the entire race, however. The contemporary Hares are strategizing all the time and watching what other Hare families are doing. So, the Hare we'll learn about today will follow another strategy...hiding with another unrelated Hare nearby. Will it work? Will the Hounds get confused and wear themselves out by searching for more than one Hare?
