This is a traditional cache in the vicinity of New Holland's lone Confederate Veteran. Dr. John W. May, Captain. 45th Reg't. N.C. Inf. I believe that he was the Commander of Co. A, Rockingham Zollicoffers. After the war he practiced medicine in the village of New Holland. His grave is located near the mausoleum (not the cache site). Actual grave is 43 paces from the right side center of the mausoleum or N 39* 33.578 W 83* 15.685 (not cache site). It is the grave with the Stars and Bars. (If it hasn't been muggled!)
Please be mindful that this is a cemetery and therefore be respectful of the grounds and those resting there.
