The Galata Tower was built by the genueses in 1348-49. For further
Information and an incredible view we recommend to visit the tower
while you are there. It is a little expensive (5€ for using the
elevator), but the money is not wasted.
You can see the tower from the cache hideout, but it is not
directy at the tower. This is due to the muggles who keep invading
the tower permanently. Near the cache there are not that many of
them, but you still need to be very careful. Please do not take the
chance of finding this cache from your fellow geocachers by beeing
too conspicuous.
Just below the hideout, there's a nice cafe where you can sit and
enjoy this neighborhood and drink delicious tea.
