This cache is on the Mountains to the Sea trail off Hwy 128 going to Mount Mitchell. Parking cords provided. Fairly easy walking trail with moderate elevation change. Elevating is above 5400ft.
Turn off Blue Ridge Parkway at Mount Mitchell exit on Hwy 128. It's about a mile or so to a pull off, cords provided, which is on the right side of the road going to Mt. Mitchell. Trail head is across the road. The cache is a small container with twist on lit painted camo with log only. BYOP. Very close to the tail and hidden very well, so please rehide as found so mugglers will not find it. Only Geocacher will know what to look for when they see it. Others will just keep on hiking. This cache is not on the Blue Ridge Parkway boundry, or the Mount Mitchell Park land. This is acutally near NC Game lands between the parkway and the State park. I have been deer hunting in this area before and only saw a few doe's.. There is a spoiler px if you care to look. Find the big Boulder rock and your close. Go to the end of the long boulder and start looking. you'll be close. I rated it a 3 because of the GPS accuracy was about 30ft, but I did have 6 sat's showing.. Good luck..
