This is on the Mountains to the Sea trail off Hwy 128 going to Mt. Mitchell. Altitude about 5500ft. Trail is easy walk with moderate elevation change after first 200ft.
Cache is a camo painted vitamin bottle large enough to hold small tradeables. I placed a small TB inside to start it off. Cache is hid very well for non cachers to pass on by but the experianced cacher will notice the obvious when you get to the location. I don't want any of my cache sites not to be found by someone who is willing to go look for it. Therefore I provide enough hints to where you should be successful in your search. If your going to drive up to Mt. Mitchell, and look for these caches, you should be able to find them.
After finding this cache, If you want to, you should continue on up the trail for some spactular views of the Bee Tree lake, The Asheville water shed and the trail is still easy, just a lot of rocks. I was going to hide this cache over looking the watershed, but it was just over the parkway and I didn't know if it was off the parkway boundry, but it was still in the watershed area. So I chose to come back around the ridge to make sure it was not on watershed or parkway boundry and it's far from the state park boundry. This is actually on NC Game lands. I have hunted deer not far from here some years ago. BYOP
