About a 6 mile drive off HY 395 on forest road 3940 will bring you to this LOT site.
The lookout site is located on the south east end of Long Creek Mountain, just north of Lantern Spring. Great views of the South Fork John Day River valley and surrounding mountains. Bring binoculars and a lunch and spend some time looking around at the different structure foundations that are dotted around the site. We spent the night here...very nice! Please re-hide well
