Balayang: I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, NTSTROM, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Geocache Description:

Noonamah is located on the Stuart Highway, which is roughly a 46 km drive, south of Darwin where the Noonamah Tavern and service station are located.

The name Noonamah was applied by the Army in 1941, when the Military Board ascribed a series of names to new military depots and camps in the Northern Territory. Noonamah was taken from the language of the Wagaman Aboriginal people and means ‘plenty of tucker and good things’. Noonamah contained a number of Army wartime units and some wartime recreation events were held in the area. If you have time up your sleeve there are plenty of old WWII historical sites and airstrips in the area, most of which have caches nearby.

If you stop at the Tavern or service station for 'some tucker and good things' (like a cold beer), it is also possible to purchase a sticker or t-shirt with this caches namesake 'Where the Hell's Noonamah'. If your lucky you may even see a croc in the bar! (visit link)

The cache itself is a small magnetic nano and can be found just opposite the service station. Remember to take your own writing implement.
