To determine the correct coordinates for this cache:
1. Take note of the unique cache colored markings on the following caches: Kingfisher, Cardinal, Finch, and Oriole. The colors are basic, don't try to make it more difficult. (i.e. It is not Maize or Scarlett)
2. Take note of the color of the Hummingbird cache.
3. Count the number of letters in each color. (Example: Purple would be 6)
4. Add the 5 numbers together.
5. Add this total to both the North and West Coordinates last 2 digits. (Example: 41 51.070 + 6 (purple) = 41 51.076)
This will give you the final coordinates of Turkey's Tudor.
The entire series of 7 caches, by canoe or kayak, will take 3 to 5 hours. If you canoe, you start in Niles and end in Buchanan. By the last cache, you will have gone 8 miles of the 13 miles to Buchanan and it is difficult to canoe back up river.
You will need a boat of some sort to complete this cache. (Canoe, kayak, motorboat). Even if you can find parking closer to the cache, we recommend against attempting to swim as the river has a strong current. We also suggest you always use a life vest (PFD) when boating on the river. The property on both sides of the river is private property. This cache is on State waterway but not accessible from land without crossing Private property. ONLY approach from the river. DO NOT CROSS PROPERTY FROM LAND TO ATTEMPT THIS CACHE.
