lorriebird: Well big bummer. KenKen used to LOVE to eat at KENtucky fried chicken. But alas, the KFC is no more. The building is being turned into yet another bank and for now the entire location has been fenced off for construction. Ken has decided to retire for now, but perhaps he will visit another location some other time. Thank you all who have taken the time to get to know Ken! Farewell.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Naples, Ken!


Southwest Florida is such a great place to live that new folks arrive almost every day. Help me welcome Naples newest resident, Ken! Or actually, KenKen who just moved down from KENtucky!

KenKen is a puzzle much like Sudoku in that you must fill in the rows and columns with a different number. But KenKen has a twist! In addition to filling in the rows and columns, you must also satisfy 'cages' (inner boxes with heavy outlines) which contain simple mathematical equations.

KenKen comes in different grid sizes. This one is an 8 x 8 grid, so use the numbers 1 - 8 only once in each row and column. The numbers in the cages must satisfy the math in the top corner of each cage. If you have a cage with only one box, then the number in the top corner of the cage belongs in the box as well. When you have filled in the entire puzzle, refer to the coordinates grid below to extract the puzzle final location. Three of the boxes have been filled in to help get you started. Have fun and I hope you enjoy meeting KenKen!
