Geocache Description:

A small container Cache located in the Clydach Vale Country Park. A fairly easy walk with many different paths, routes and parking available, can be done with a buggy if the right paths are chosen! Steep off-trail scramble for the last 25' to the cache.

Cydach Vale Country Park is the reclaimed site of the old Cambrian Colliery and offers many walks and views. Whilst visiting the cache you will have the opportunity to stand at the base of a long cascading waterfall if the weather has been wet. You can also visit the memorial in the park with the old mine wheel or call in at the cafe at the bottom lake for something to keep you going! Recommended parking is the car park by the childrens playground at the entrance to the park area. The walk is relatively short and can be completed in less than an hour if required. You can also park at the bottom lake car park and have a longer walk up. Very nice for a picnic!!

Box currently contains the logbook and pen/pencil, crayons, highlighter pens, keyring and fold up ruler. There's also a FTF prize (recently taken from another cache even though we weren't FTF!) with its FTF keyring.

Hope you enjoy the view, I live on the opposite side of the valley so remember to wave!
