Dr. A. M. and Edith Ruhl built a one-story house at 328 E. First back in 1908. In 1928, the house was remodeled in a very unusual way. The entire house was raised, adding a new ground floor and basement, with the original house now being the 2nd floor.
During one period of time, this building housed the Edmond hospital. In 1989, the house was purchased by Gary and Martha Hall who extensively renovated the house and opened the bed and breakfast known as The Arcadian Inn.
