The first school house in Oklahoma still stands on original school
land. This is the oldest building currently in Oklahoma County.
Classes opened in September 1889. It was also the site of four
early Protestant churches and the site of the first wedding in the
state.
You are looking for a camo'd pill bottle (pencil included). Peek
in the window for a treat. Best access from South of building.
THE SCHOOL HOUSE IS OPEN FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT the first two Saturdays
of each month from 1:00-4:00 (except in January and February).
Bring the kids back then to experience school days in early
Oklahoma.
