A lovely walk through the National Trust Chirk Castle estate.
Follow the Red Topped post woodland walk from the main car park. Cache is a micro film case
Estate gates close automatically from 7pm till 7am (Sept to June) 9pm till 7am (June to Aug)
Suggested parking is in the main visitor carpark. Follow the woodland walk and enjoy meeting the free roaming berkshire pigs, plenty of lovely wild flowers, birds and wildlfe along the way.
The white topped post pathway is permissive and technically closes between end Septmember and April, however the small sections of this pathway used to reach the cache sites remain open.
If parking any where other than the main carp park, please respect cottage and lodge residents privacy and driveways.
Estate driveway entrance and exit gates close automatically at 7pm till 7am.
The woodlands contain many veteran trees which can drop branches suddenly. Please adhere to any woodland or estate closed signs for high winds, snow falls and extreme weather conditions.
