Pond or Puddle ? Traditional Cache

Hawkeye80: Went back this evening and conducted a wider search of the area.

A true mugglling with no trace of log book, container, or even the piece of wood which was on top of it, securing/hiding it.

I'm not intending to replace in this area, as it's obviously frequented by the wrong type of person.

I will also ensure that any caches I put out in the future will be 'members only', as it must surely be more than coincidence that it went missing in the same week that I took off the 'Members Only' marker & opened it up to everyone.

Thanks for the great comments from all those who managed to find it before it was stolen.

Geocache Description:

Nestled amongst the trees, with a ford at one end, Clark's Pond near Ide, is not perhaps everybody's idea of what a pond should look like. This cache is conveniently situated, so that you can take a visit and decide for yourself.

Although we can find no local history on Clark's Pond, at least two generations of our family have fond memories of playing there as children, 'minnowing' or catching tadpoles. If anyone can provide further info, please let us know and we'll add it to this page.

The cache is a small camouflaged lock & lock container, containing the usual swaps and £2 for the FTF (Well done Wadders). Will take small TB's, swaps, & Geocoins.

You may wish to tag this cache on to the end of Alphin Brook Walk multi (GC12C0R), or if you're looking for more of a cache & dash, limited residential parking, with care, can be found at N50 42.332 W003 32.531

There is no need for any wet feet in finding this cache.

The difficulty rating of 2 reflects the amount of Stealth required, as this area is very popular with walkers and horse riders. Please be on full Muggle alert !

Finally, please be careful of stinging nettles.
