Congratulations to The Farrill 4 for their FTF
The City of Edmond maintains over 40 sirens throughout Edmond to warn citizens of weather emergencies, and would be used to warn of any other threat to public safety. These sirens are tested at noon on the first Saturday of each month, with the assistance of ham radio operators who position themselves at each siren and report its functionality on a 2-meter ham radio frequency. We tend to overlook and forget these horned sentinels, but they are an essential part of the City's emergency management.
