To find this cache you will need to:
- view Wolfgang's 'End of Land I' picture (ideally a version with people in the background, near the woman's feet);
- - e.g. on the web or at the Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne;
- go to the general location (not too close to the edge) where the picture was taken;
- ascertain the published co-ordinates of the nearest cache to this location (a little to the north);
- - add 1.551 to that cache's Longitude;
- - add 0.094 to that cache's Latitude;
- go to the location of the updated co-ordinates; and
- use your Cacher's Eye (and the Additional Hint?).
As you will see from his picture, you should take extreme care if you decide to go anywhere near Wolfgang's ground zero or that of his subject; hence the warning Attributes icons. Note: you 'do not' need to do this in order to find the cache.
This is a lovely area so if you are having troubles finding the cache, or whilst you are calculating the final co-ordinates, you could sit down and enjoy the view for a while.
Be sure not to sit too near the edge of the cliff for too long though. I did when I was waiting to place another cache in this area (there were two Muggles having a picnic at that GZ for nearly an hour) when the Chaplain's Suicide Watch (Hi, Cliff and colleague) came to check that I wasn't about to do anything stupid [my words]. After assuring them that I was a Geocacher and my sitting and waiting on a wind-swept hill with no coat on for 30 minutes was not necessarily unusual, I introduced them to the excitement [my word] of Geocaching. I think that Cliff, by the cliff, might be joining our ranks very soon.
Co-incidently, there is a gentleman wearing a flourescent jacket in the backgorund of Wolfgang's picture. I wonder if it is Cliff or his colleague?
