Geocache Description:

This location is one of the Historical Sites around Jacksonville from the old Arkansas Ordnance Plant. When I was here to place the cache, three people actually stopped to see if I needed help. The deputy sheriff drove on by. I never realized how busy this road is.

The listed coordinates are not the actual cache location. You need to answer a few questions to find the cache. Cache location is: North 34 degrees 53.ABC West 092 degrees 08.DEF A = On June 4, 194___, the War Department notified Governor Homer Adkins and Congressman David D. Terry that a $33,000,000 fuse and detonator plant was approved for immediate construction near Jacksonville. B = By July 1____, 1941, approximately 400 families had received orders to move from the plant construction area. C = During World War II, Arkansas was home to ______ ordnance plants. D = In August 194____, 12,686 employees were working at the plant, and about seventy-five percent of these were female. E = The plant was the first national defense industry approved for the state, and at the peak of production on November 2 ___, 1942, 14,092 workers were employed at the plant. F = The Sunny Side housing project, consisting of a total of 375 houses and additional duplexes, was started on July 5, 1942. The project supplied housing for 500 families. A ____00-unit trailer park was built on the opposite side of town from the project, and both developments were rented to the AOP employees as they were completed.
