Geocache Description:


Calling all puzzle headed weenies or 'wanna be' puzzle headed weenies! Ever wondered just how to decrypt that funny looking cipher? How to find embedded clues in a cache description? How to turn an illegible series of lines and numbers into useable coordinates?

Well come to this event! Most likely you won't learn ANYTHING because every time we try to organize a puzzle event we just end up eating bad fried food and telling geocaching lies without exchanging any useful information! But any excuse for a little 'get-together', right?

But for this event we will have one special addition to our regular menagerie of unusual suspects. Yes, the master Puzzle Headed Weenie himself! The hidden clue-cruncher extraordinaire! The author of the Puzzle Solving 101 Series of caches and Grand Puzzle Poobah himself, ePeterso2!!!!!!! Hooray! His Royal Trickiness from the east coast will be paying us a little visit for this event. ...AND! he has very graciously offered to give an impromptu seminar on his awesome cache series Puzzle Solving 101!! For those of you not familiar with this cache series, click on the 'User's Link' at the top of this page for a bookmark. Even if you have no plans to cache over on the east coast, I highly recommend having some fun solving these puzzles anyway!

And finally, for those who would like to try out their newly acquired puzzle-solving skills, there will be a brand new Puzzle Cache handed out to attendees who wish to stay for the fun. There will be no competition, I repeat, NO COMPETITION, as we will work on solving this new puzzle cache as a group. This cache will be published after the event, but the container is already in place for our gathering. Everything you need will be handed out at the event...but you may want to bring bug spray if you will be heading out to find this new cache that night.

So come on out to the UN-fancy and UN-pretentious North Naples Country Club, and bring your cache, er, cash. Because the NNCC does not accept credit cards but it does make some great buffalo wings! The event will start around 5:30 pm but is very informal. So come on out old cachers, new cachers and accidental cachers and meet some new friends! We look forward to seeing you!
