This is a quick and easy multi-cache, with a simple puzzle and a short walk from the parking co-ordinates. Pencil is not a swap. Can't log without writing implements if none have been brought. Location changed after 7 years as people think it is ok to steal things out the box, leave it there in the ditch or on display on the path and just walk off. Not my job to supply toys to the little darlings, stash note useless then. Now a boring micro on a shoe lace.
The Hanson Way is part of National Cycle Network Route 5. It is the route south from Oxford to Abingdon that takes you through traffic-calmed streets before joining the off road path parallel with the railway line. Traffic free paths take you across parkland to the heart of the attractive town of Abingdon. From there the route goes via the little village of Sutton Courtenay before arriving in Didcot by the railway station. From Didcot you can get a train back to Oxford or explore the many beautiful routes around Didcot. For more: http://www.sustrans.org.uk/sustrans-near-you/south-east/easy-rides-in-the-south-east/hanson-way This section of the route runs from South Abingdon along Peep-O-Day before joining the Drayton Road for the short stretch into the peaceful village of Sutton Courtenay (where you'll also find the excellent 'Orwell That Ends Well' multi-cache). Limited parking is available at the Sutton Courtenay end, at the published co-ordinates. If you're approaching from the South Abingdon end, I often see people parked on the verge near the sewage plant, at around N51 39.350 W001 17.034, although it's a good 30-40 minute return walk if you come from this side. There can be a few nettles around in the summer, so you are advised to bring trousers / sleeved top to protect yourself. Ok, the cache.
