Nova Scotia Teachers College (NSTC) opened in 1855 (as
Provincial Normal School) and closed, after 142 years, in 1997.
At the time of its closure it was the oldest, independant
teacher training institution in Canada During the College's
existance it was known as:
- Provincial Normal School (PNS) 1855-1909
- Provincial Normal College (PNC) 1909-1951
- Nova Scotia Normal College (NSNC) 1951-1961
- Nova Scotia Teachers College (NSTC) 1961-1997
The College existed in two primary locations. The location of
this cache is the final location of the College.
