Cache is located at Fairmont State University, hence the name, Fighting Falcons! There is a small pencil in the cache, you may want to bring your own as well. Fairmont State University was founded in 1865 and currently has an enrollment of 4,600 students. Pierpont Community & Technical College shares the campus and was founded in 1974 and has a current enrollment of 2,600. FSU offers more than 90 baccalaureate degrees and graduate programs in business, criminal justice, education and human services .The 120-acre main campus of Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College sits on a hillside in Fairmont, West Virginia, the county seat of Marion County. In fact, for years it’s been known for years as "the college on the hill."
Fairmont is noted for being the home of the original pepperoni roll, the inaugural celebration of Father's Day, Olympic champion Mary Lou Retton and Johnnie Johnson, the "father of rock and roll."
Depending on the time of year, there may be muggles close by, but there is less traffic at this cache than the other cache on FSU’s campus. While you are close by check out the FSU 1 Room School House Cache, it’s one not to be missed! Thanks for looking and let me know if there are any problems with the cache!
