Guinness Footbridge
The Park Canal was constructed in 1757-1758 to transport goods to and from Limerick City. The canal system was invaluable in the transport of heavy goods, such as turf, potatoes, coal and, in particular, Guinness. The canal boats took four days to reach Limerick from Dublin, when conditions were favourable, which was considered to be an ideal period to allow the Guinness to mellow.
A nano cache located at one end point of this bridge. Please bring your own pen. Be careful retrieving/replacing cache so it doesn't get a watery grave!
Access to the cache is from many directions on foot/bicycle. If you are feeling energetic and have the time, why not consider doing GC1TMDY - 'Limerick Bridges - Black Bridge View'
