Geocache Description:

A full-sized cache at the end of a trail beside fields, pastures and irrigation canal.

When I approached this cache to check on it during its test run, a snake slithered away. When I moved some of the camouflage, I found another one curled up right on top of it. I couldn’t resist commemorating this serpentine experience with an appropriately-themed cache.

The cache is starting out with lots of stuff related to the Harry Potter books. Feel free to trade other magical stuff – or bring a few snakes to keep the local ones company.

The road to the cache starts to the south. You can park near the canal underpass. DO NOT approach the cache from the north! That's private property.

In addition to slithery serpents, look for cliff swallows darting in and out of where the canal goes under the road, or watch for ducks in the canal (I counted nine cute little ducklings the day I placed this cache.) You can also pick up my Not A Hobbit Hole cache on the way.

Watch your kids! If the grass on the canal road hasn’t been mowed, they might disappear in it.

This cache is part of the series, MountainHobbit's Mathoms, Year 3. Don't know what a mathom is? Check out Chapter 1 in the Fellowship of the Ring by J. R. R. Tolkien to find out the reason for this hobbity celebration!

Congratulations to Save The Murlocs for the FTF!
