The cache is located at Avonhead Park Cemetery -
it's a very new cemetery, still pretty spooky at night. You will
not need to walk over 'anybody' during the hunt. The gates are
closed from 5.30pm to 8am (8.30pm to 8am daylight savings time).
Pedestrian access 24 hours
The coordinates will take you to the first fire
tac. You will be able to see it as you enter the cemetery gates.
From this point start hunting for the next tac. Each tac is
attached to a tree - flashes of light from other places could be...
a ghost??
To see a fire tac you will need to hold your torch at eye level.
The light is reflected back to its source, so if you hold your
torch at waist level they'll be almost invisible.
Stand as close to each tree as possible and pan 360° until you see
the next tac. You are looking for orange
tacs or silver tacs. Follow the trail to the way-point,
which is marked by a pair of tacs. Here you will need to search for
a micro that contains the co-ordinates for the final
cache.
A short walk within the cemetery grounds will take
you to the final location. You do not have to open any gates to get
to the cache - going through gates will take you on to private
land. The cache is a large green container that is able to hold
quite large items. When placed it help several night cache themed
swaps (scary/creepy/monsters and a key-chain light). Please take
the time to recover the cache well.
Happy Hunting
Standing in a different spot (but still close to the tree) can
illuminate a tac that was hidden.
After rain the area can get very wet, please be careful. Terrain
would be a '2' during the day.
