Two of the The Likely Lads
Three Likely Lads headed to the hills to seek adventure and gold. All that was found was mud and water, but a great time was had by all, we hope you have a similar day.

The cache is on rough terrain, so only experienced Likely lads and lasses need apply. I would avoid this track after heavy rain fall, the stream can turn into a fast flowing river.

The cache is a regular sized one, so plenty of room for travel bugs and swaps.

Dogs are not permitted on the track because of the threat they pose to stock and wildlife. Exceptions include certified guide dogs and permitted hunting dogs.

The area currently doesn't have Kauri Die Back, so please follow the below instructions to keep this beautiful place free of this disease.

PROTECT OUR KAURI
  • This area may have Kauri Dieback, so please:-
  • Make sure shoes, tyres and equipment are clean of dirt before and after visiting kauri forest
  • Clean shoes and any other equipment that comes into contact with soil after every visit, especially if moving between bush areas
  • Keep to defined park tracks at all times. Any movement of soil around the roots of a tree has the potential to spread the disease
  • Keep your dog on a leash at all times. Dogs can inadvertently spread the disease if they disturb the soil around the trees.
