The Red Light Cache is hidden at Dutchmans Landing Park in Catskill. Parking is right next to the cache. This cache and its twin, the Green Light Cache, are hidden on objects that are called ATONs, or Aids to Navigation. Navigational Aids use color to assist boaters and ships on the Hudson River and other waterways. When going upstream, red markers should pass on the starboard side. A good reminder is "red, right, return". Red markers have even numbers. Buoys also have lights that flash at fixed time intervals. While you are at the park, look out into the river and try to find more buoys.
