An easy cache accessible by 2WD vehicle
The first cache on Christmas Island; near the location of the original phosphate mining town at South point.
Most of the town was destroyed when the mine expanded the population move to settlement at the other end of the Island.
There are several Chinese temples on the way to visit and a round trip should take less than an hour.
The cache is maintained by Linda Cash of the Christmas Island Tourism Association, who is the editor of “the essential Christmas Island travel guide” and along with her husband Phil is a fantastic ambassador for the Island, many thanks Linda and Phil for as fantastic time.
