Workyticket: As there appears to have been no response from the CO we are archiving the cache listing to prevent it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements in the area.

Geocache Description:

The Berwick area was the favourite holiday destination for LS Lowry. He did this from the 1930s right through to his death in the 1970s.

His love of the area is shown in the large set of drawings and paintings of the people and places. In recognition of this, the town council erected a series of story boards around Berwick, Tweedmouth and Spittal. Each board has a painting/drawing on it that he did at that location.

In this series of caches, I have placed a cache on or near the board.

Go get the cache, look at Lowry's picture, read the blurb and look at how the view has changed/not changed today. I have placed a cache at most of the boards, however caching rules mean that not every board has a cache. Nevertheless you are strongly recommended to visit all the boards. There are 18 boards in total and they are all within walking distance.

This particular cache is for the board "The Town Hall":

The classic view of Berwick from the Scots Gate. The Georgian Town Hall with it's impossing spire dominates the town centre. But where
you're standing is actually ancient. Go see.

Take time to look all around you - there are interesting views 360....
