1 hour walk on trails in a park, including a steep ascend
Zhong Shan is the green centre of Nanjing, Aside from various attractions, with sometimes rather expensive entrance fees, there are also areas, where you can have a nice walk through park-like areas free of charge. Those areas are less crowded than the small parks in the city. This is the second of a series of Geocaches in Zhong Shan, we are planning as a weekend family activity for all Geocachers in the area.
At the very East end of Zhong Shan Mountains is a Parking lot at the Road, which also leads to the Sofitel Zhong Shan Golf hotel. There is also a nearby Bus station, however there is no landmark to mention. So, if you have no own transportation, take a taxi and use the GPS to find the place. The Parking here is free.N 32'03.763 E 118'52.957.
Follow a small but clearly visible trail uphill to the Final.
There were 2 stages which were constantly muggled. I changed it to one stage which was constantly misunderstood, so now this has become a traditional with a trailhead.
As we are living in Shenzhen right now, we want to maintain the cache at hte end of this very nice walk as long as possible. So please bear with us.
The cache is well hidden from passers-by but not so difficult to find for real Geocachers. Please take the necessary care to keep it that way. The place is not as crowded as most of the other areas in Zhongshan, but you still have to expect frequent passers-by.
Don't forget to note down the second variable for the co-ordinates of our Mystery Cache to be (You find it in the cover of the Cache Box E1=... )
After you successfully located the cache, to get back to your starting point you can either go back the way you came or go back via N 32.03.457 E 118.52.782, which is a nice walk way but the last 500 m you will have to walk on a less freqented road.
