FR : Multi-cache facile à travers La Sarraz, pour vous faire découvrir la vieille ville et les curiosités locales.
ENG : Easy multi-cache through La Sarraz, to take you around the old town and the local sights.

ATTENTION : durant les travaux au centre-ville de la Sarraz, le château n'est pas accessible pendant la semaine. La cache n'est donc faisable qu'en week-end. Merci de votre compréhension.

CAUTION : during the works in the center of La Sarraz, the castle cannot be accessed on week days. Please note that you can only gather all values for the cache on weekends. Thanks for your understanding and your patience.

 

FR : Les chiffres ou nombres résultats d'opérations sont séparés par des backslash (\) pour ne pas les confondre avec des divisions (/). Vous trouverez donc des coordonnées de type N 46°.A \ B. C \ D \ E' ou N 46°.AB. C \ DE'. Prenez aussi garde au fait qu'à l'impression ou au transfert sur certains appareils, les carrés dans les calculs aux étapes 4 et 5 peuvent se transformer en simples 2!
Pour commencer cette petite balade dans le vieux bourg de la Sarraz, nous vous suggérons de laisser votre véhicule au parking mentionné. Vous pouvez naturellement aussi venir en train, mais votre balade en sera un peu rallongée.
Depuis le parking, rendez-vous aux coordonnées principales où vous trouverez une église originale. Son mur est orné d'un crucifix souligné d'une citation. Lisez-la et complétez :
A = nb de lettres dans le dernier mot
B = nb de "a" dans le mot le plus long
C = position dans l'alphabet de la deuxième lettre du dernier mot de la première ligne
D = nb de mots de la dernière ligne
La coordonnée de l'étape 2 est la suivante : N46° 39.A \ B \ A*B' E006° 30.C \ C \ D'

Etape 2
Après avoir quitté l'église, rebroussez chemin quelques mètres puis empruntez le chemin de la Tannerie qui vous mènera à l'indice 2. Là, relevez les informations suivantes :
EF = (nb de lettres sur le panneau des salles)-D (voir photo indice, comptez seulement les lettres à l'intérieur des flèches)
G = nb d'ouvertures (fenêtres) dans le passage couvert entre les deux tours
H = n° de la Salle de Mandrot
Vous trouverez l'étape 3 à N46° 39.D+B \ EF' E006° 30.G*2 \ D*G*H/2'

Etape 3
Ici, vous trouverez une relique du temps passé, un instrument de la justice d'alors. Lisez la pancarte explicative.

Levez les yeux : une enseigne se balance au-dessus de votre tête. Est-ce une horloge : L = 9; une couronne : L = 8; une croix : L = 7; un cheval blanc : L = 6

Etape 5
Une fontaine offre son eau pour étancher votre soif. Profitez de votre courte pause pour relever la date MNOP qui orne son bassin.

Etape 6
Une pierre à sabot vient nous rappeler qu'avant d'être équipés d'ABS, les véhicules devaient se méfier des routes en pente. De quand date cette borne (= QRST)

Vous avez réuni toutes les informations nécessaires pour trouver la cache finale.
Poursuivez votre balade jusqu'à N46° 39.QR*(S+T)-B-M \ D+T' E006° 30.TN*E' et découvrez la dernière curiosité de ce parcours!

To start this little stroll in the old town of La Sarraz, we suggest you leave your vehicle at the parking lot listed below. You can also reach the town with the train but your walk will be slightly longer.
From the parking place, walk until the main coordinates where you will find an original church. Its wall bears a representation of the crucifixion, underlined with a quote. Read it and complete the following :
A = number of letters in the last word
B = number of "a" in the longest word
C = position in the alphabet of the second letter of the first line's last word
D = number of words in the last line

Stage 2
After leaving the church, track back a couple of meters and take the "chemin de la Tannerie" which will lead you to stage 2. There, write down the following information :
EF = (number of letters on the sign to the rooms [="salles"])-D (See hint picture, only count the letters within the arrows)
G = number of openings (windows) in the roofed passage between the two towers
H = # of Salle de Mandrot

Stage 3
There you will find an object from ages past, a device of justice. Read the board.
