Geocache Description:

Located in Assiniboine Park Zoo. Avoiding Poison Ivy will be one of the challenges in getting this cache.

Many wild animals migrate annually in search of food, water, and mates. Zebras, for example, can travel up to 1800 miles per year in their circuit through Tanzania and Kenya. Other animals travel as beasts of burden. Camels have been used through the ages for long treks through the desert, as their strength, adaptations to harsh conditions, and stamina allows them to travel up to 30 km/day. But modern day commuting for human populations is a costly business for the health of the planet. Pollution, the use of non-renewable resources, and the infrastructure required to support vehicle traffic are all destructive to the earth. How can we minimize the footprint left by our own commutes?
