Geocache Description:

Located in the Assiniboine Park Zoo

The bison provided aboriginal people and settlers alike with a real “biofuel” when the dried “chips” were used as a fuel source. Dried animal dung is still used in parts of Africa and Asia. Our challenge is to find energy efficient, renewable resources to meet our need for fuel and electricity here in North America. While solar and wind power projects go forward, we can also examine ways to reduce our need for energy.
