Geocache Description:

Located in the Assiniboine Park Zoo. A duplex cache

Note the use of glass to heat the zoo’s tropical house and provide light in the building. We can do more with solar power in our own environment by planning buildings, which maximize the use of sunshine. Whether the windows are decorative, or more functional, we do need to safeguard them from attracting “bird hits”. It is estimated that over 1 billion birds are killed each year in collision with windows. Think about ways you can “bird proof” your windows at home and at work.
