Geocache Description:

Micro cache placed at the edge of a public byway

This cache involves a short walk along a byway up to the top of a hill from where you will get a great view of the surrounding area. You'll be able to see down to the chalk lion drawn on the hillside near Whipsnade zoo, and on a sunny day gliders and tow planes from the nearby London Gliding Club will be circling in the skies overhead.

The cache is located on a public byway, so if you have an offroad (but road legal) motorbike you'll be able to ride right up to the cache site. The byway has a TRO banning cars I'm afraid, so those travelling on 4 wheels will have to park somewhere nearby and take a short walk.

If you're with children please watch them very carefully, there's a shear drop of about 50ft over a cliff on the north side of the byway protected only by a fairly flimsy looking wire fence with big gaps in.

The cache is a small tin covered with black tape containing just a logbook, bring your own pen.
