Geocache Description:

In 1961 Dick Cabela came up with a plan to sell fishing flies he purchased while at a furniture show and upon his return home to Chappell, Nebraska, Dick ran a classified ad in the Casper, Wyoming, newspaper reading: "12 hand-tied flies for $1."

It generated one response.

30 stores later, who'd a thunk it would turn out the way it has.

This cache is located at the first Cabela's retail store. It opened in 1987 in the old Rockwell building in Kearney.
It has been placed with permission of Nate the store manager, Pat the maintenance supervisor and Alan the head of maintenance.
The cache is just a short bushwhack from paved parking.
