Geocache Description:

Due to geocachers not leaving the park on time, please give yourself plenty of time to find the cache and get back to your car. For this cache alone give yourself 1 hour round trip to be safe. Let me know about how long it took you. Thanks.

This cache is located in beautiful Nottingham County Park. This 651 acre park offers picnic areas, pavilions, play lots, hiking trails, an equestrian show ring, and remnants of mining industries. I have seen a lot of wildlife while walking on the trails.

The park opens at 8:00am and closes at sunset.

The trails can be rolling hills, can get muddy, and some parts are rocky. I have pulled ticks off myself and my dog almost every time I have been in the park looking for cache sites and averaging coordinates (take appropriate precautions). The parking coordinates were taken at the tick and Lyme disease information station (there are other places to park). When I placed the caches there were prickers and always be on the look out for poisonous plants. Due to tree cover the coords maybe off a bit depending on when you search.

Park maps are recommended and can be downloaded or purchased at the park office. Please follow the rules of the park. Have fun and good luck.

The Mystery Hole is somewhat of a mystery. The only information I could get was that some interesting items have been pulled out of the hole, such as a car. They do not know what else could be in there and its depth is a mystery as well. So come on by and see what the mystery is about.
