Large ammo can hidden among a pile of basalt boulders. Please replace the cache exactly where you found it and make sure it's "door" is also in place. We estimate 30 minutes to leave I-84 at exit 16, find the cache, and return to I-84. Paved road all the way, about 1/2 mile from I-84.
The idea for this cache originated on a trip between Burley, Idaho and home in Utah. Just past Snowville, one of our junior geocachers said the words that infuriate parents everywhere after a rest stop has just been passed--"I gotta go." We pulled off at the first exit that isn't populated and took care of the issue. The area needed a cache so we made plans to place one on the next trip. Well, we pulled off and two muggle groups were wishing they'd stopped in Snowville, too. Not wanting to be observed, we drove a little farther down the paved road and found this place.
The cache is located among some boulders and is very well hidden. You will have to climb up on the boulders. The southerly approach is easier than directly from the east. Be careful, the dry grass is very slippery. Don't put your hands anywhere your eyes haven't been!
During the winter, the cache may be accessible, depending on the snow cover.
