Geocache Description:

This is what Harry Ashcroft wrote when he set this cache in June 2009. The Brown Teddies adopted this cache in July 2019, to keep it going in Harry's memory.

A cache & dash at this great viewpoint.

Applebury hill is used regularly by the coastguard , the fishing regulators and the immigration authorities as a lookout point over Morecambe Bay. It overlooks the main cockling beds between Heysham and Barrow in Furness and in clear weather you can see Blackpool Tower. You may also find ladies and gentlemen from the nearby Boarbank Hall nursing home enjoying the view.
