This cache was placed to celebrate my 2500th find at the nearby
geocache "Gollum's Precious."
After successfully hunting and finding that well hidden geocache,
located at the mouth of a cave within the beautiful Misty
Mountains, I hid this geocache as a tribute to that find, which I
highly recommend by the way. The aforementioned cave, is inhabited
by the twisted and evil Gollum who is in possession of the One
Ring, which was forged in the fires of Mount Doom.
After making the find, my companions and I made our way out of the
Misty Mountains into Fangorn Forest. Fangorn Forest is the home of
the tree shepherds, the Ents.
The Ents are a race of giant, tree-like beings whose purpose was to
protect the forests of Middle Earth. As the great forests dwindled,
so have the Ents, but they are still to be found in Fangorn
Forest.
I hope you enjoy searching for this geocache. Use caution on your
search, as the Ents can be quite hostile if you damage any of the
vegetation they are there to protect. Don't forget to enjoy the
view of the Misty Mountains as you walk to the geocache
location.
