Geocache Description:

I would like to share some of my favorite Bermuda views in this series of caches. This is the third in the series and many more are to come…

Fort St. Catherine:
St Cath Fort

Fort St. Catherine, one of Bermuda’s oldest forts, is located on the extreme northeastern tip of St. George’s. Originally built to defend the island from the Spaniards, the fort has been modified several times. Presently, the fort serves as a museum although you can visit the outer grounds any time of day. A nearby beach offers great swimming. Bring your camera to capture views from all angles from the fort walls.
The Fort St. Catherine’s museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily with a modest entry fee ($5 adults, $2 children). The fort can be found by moped, taxi or a small hike from St. George’s. St. George’s can be accessed by bus or ferry. The cache is located outside the Fort so you don’t have to purchase admission to find it.

This is a camouflage-covered matchbox.

Small note on cache maintenance: We are here regularly, also have local friends who will assist if needed.
