Cienega Ave. Multi Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

LavaLizard: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If the cache owner addresses the issues that lead to archival and contacts me within a reasonable period of time (6-8 weeks), it may be possible to unarchive the cache.

Geocache Description:

A tour along Cienega Ave.

Now available to all GeoCaching members!

This multi-cache will take you on a lovely tour of Cienega Ave. that starts in an un-incorporated area between Covina and Glendora - sometimes called Covina County, and ends within the city of San Dimas. There are 6 waypoints and then a regular sized cache at the end of the tour. Most of Cienega does not allow parking, so using a car is not all that easy. The tour is over a mile long so keep that in mind if you walk. My recommendation for finding this cache is to park near the starting point and ride a bicycle to all the stages. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center parking lot on the southwest corner of Sunflower and Arrow Hwy. The "Park1" waypoint listed below is in that parking lot. It's just over 1/3 mile from that parking lot to the first waypoint. Alternatively you can park in the shopping center parking lot on the north side of Cienega just west of the 57 freeway. The "Park2" waypoint listed below is that parking lot.
If you do park at Park1, don't forget to find GC1M1NZ - Leave your Bottle Rockets at Home which is just down the street from stage 1. Conversely if you park at Park2, my GC-1113A - Is it a Lamppost 8? is very close by.

Each of the waypoints is different, so don't think that once you have found one, you will know what they all look like. The waypoints below give some insight into what you are looking for. I expect waypoint 1 and 6 to be the hardest. 2 - 5 and the final should be pretty straight forward.

A couple of the waypoints are a little close to the front of a house, but you DO NOT need to go onto anyone's property, nor do you need to be visible from the nearby houses. All the waypoints are accessible from the sidewalk. The final cache is a former 2 pound peanut jar and is not accessible from the sidewalk.

Wheelchair access: Most of the waypoints would be difficult to reach for a person seated in a wheelchair, but can be reached by standing or reaching. None should take more than one step from a wheelchair to reach. The final cache will require walking more than a few steps on a soft surface.

Congrats to Not Tom for the FTF!

I am very particular about maintaining my caches. If you find an issue with this cache, please include that in a log entry, or send me an E-Mail about it.   Thanks

Enjoy
