Geocache Description:

The Gundagai Railway Station was restored in the 1990's to its original 1886 glory when it was built and still features the only slate-roofed goods shed in NSW.All surrounding areas have also been restored inluding the weighbridge and goods shed,plus all signals.

Inside the fully restored railway station are many rooms of photographs,historical items,photographic records,displays and many items of interest to railway buffs.A detailed section is allocated to the full restoration project.The historic displays recall a time when trains ran regularly on the now abandoned branch line.The museum rooms are open every day from 10.00a.m. till 3.00p.m..Please take a few minutes to view the many rooms of an era past and enjoy the railway history.

The cache is a 200ml sistema hidden within its surroundings.It contains a log book and pencil within a zip-lock bag a plenty of Farmers 5 treats.
