Pine Creek is found
about 250 km south of Darwin and 90km north of Katherine in the
Northern Territory. The town was established after a brief gold
rush during the 1870s, when gold was discovered while drilling
holes for the Overland Telegraph Line.
Minerals such as uranium, lead,
zinc and silver have been excavated here and high grade iron was
mined from 1966 to 1985.
A small cache hidden near some
Pine creek history. The cache can be found in a pretty little
park.
The cache is a small round
container that sticks like glue. It should be an easy find if you
use the name of the cache and your
eyes.
